Gazelles back above .500

Posted by Cory Jennermann on Jun 10 2010 at 02:12PM PDT

The Wounded Gazelles extended their winning streak to 2 games with a well timed, classy victory over the Ball Snatchers Wednesday night.

The big news, however, was off the field. Star shortstop/pitcher Brian Peters was the center of heated debate around his living situation. Peters is re-locating to a new area of town and, depending on where he lives, may no longer be eligible to play for the Gazelles as per rule 5.4 of the crosstown handbook which states that a player must live within 5 km of 80% of their team members in order to be an eligible player.

Gazelle legal advisor Cory Jennermann has refuted rule 5.4 citing the case of the Mighty Ducks vs. the US peewee hockey association. Jennermann has publicly stated that the loophole which allowed Banks to play for coach Bombay even though he lived outside of district 5 is precedent to keep Peters on the team.
