Gazelles Anything But Wounded in First Win

Posted by Cory Jennermann on May 13 2010 at 10:42AM PDT

Sportswire Press Release: May 13, 2010

A new look and new roster seem to be working so far as the Wounded Gazelles cruised to an easy 14-3 win over the Force Four Furries.

Coach Kristen Suess credited "High fives and giving 110%" as keys to the win. A number of minor injuries were sustained during the game; star center fielder Kenton Delisle is suffering from a strained hamstring, pitcher Steve Mason suffered a minor abductor tear, and Sean Lloyd is nursing a bruised shin after being hit by a ball. All players are listed as day to day.

It is speculated that a contract dispute caused Cory Jennermann to be late. Jennermann declined to comment, his agent stated "Cory is happy to have a secure future with the franchise and looks forward to the season."

The Wounded Gazelles face the Matadors Friday at Trout Lake Park. Tickets are available at www.ticketmaster.com.
